The Browning Platinum Series is an enhanced-protection gun safe: security level 8 of 10, 7-gauge steel and 120 minutes of fire protection at 1,750°F, available in 3 sizes that hold up to 65 long guns. Browning's flagship residential gun safe: 7-gauge steel, 16 all-active bolts and a cedar-lined interior.

What Makes the BROWNING | PLATINUM Model Special

Level 8 out of 10 Security

At the top of Browning's standard gun safe line, the Platinum is built on a 3/16" (7-gauge) steel body with continuous welds and a 1-11/16" Duo-Formed® door with a full-coverage 10-gauge inner plate. The Gear Drive™ locking system sends bolt and handle pressure to the cams and diversion bars instead of the lock, while up to 16 chrome-plated 4" x 1" Max Bolts lock the door on all four sides and Pry-Stop® Corner Bolts protect the door corners. Hardened steel pin lock protection and UL Listed construction complete a safe designed to stand up to determined break-in attempts.

120 Minute Fire Protection

The Platinum is certified for 155 minutes of fire protection at 1,200°F and 120 minutes at 1,750°F. Browning's ThermaBlock® fire insulation interlocks to minimize gaps (2-1/2" in the ceiling, 3-1/8" in the body and 2-3/8" in the door), and external hinges avoid the heat path that internal hinges create. In a fire, the Palusol® door seal expands once it reaches 212°F, closing the gap around the door against heat and smoke. That makes it a strong choice for homes in wildfire-prone parts of Northern California.
