The Browning Armored U.S. / Stars & Stripes Series is an enhanced-protection gun safe: security level 6 of 10, 11-gauge steel and 100 minutes of fire protection at 1,680°F, available in 4 sizes that hold up to 49 long guns. Enhanced-tier protection with 11-gauge steel, a Duo-Formed door with a 10-gauge inner plate, 4-way Max Bolt engagement and a Tactical Rack interior with carbine barrel loops.

Both the Armored U.S. and Stars & Stripes share the same protection as the Silver: an 11-gauge steel body with continuous welds and a 1-11/16" Duo-Formed® door with a full-coverage 10-gauge inner plate. The Force Deflector™ locking system keeps prying and pounding forces away from the lock, 10 chrome-plated 4" x 1" Max Bolts engage on four sides of the door, and Pry-Stop® End Bolts secure the corners, with hardened steel pin lock protection and UL Listed construction behind it all.

100 Minute Fire Protection

The Armored U.S. and Stars & Stripes is certified for 125 minutes of fire protection at 1,200°F and 100 minutes at 1,680°F. Browning's ThermaBlock® fire insulation interlocks to minimize gaps (2-1/2" in the ceiling, 1-7/8" in the body and 2-3/8" in the door), and external hinges avoid the heat path that internal hinges create. In a fire, the Palusol® door seal expands once it reaches 212°F, closing the gap around the door against heat and smoke. That makes it a strong choice for homes in wildfire-prone parts of Northern California.
