The Franklin was built as a serious step up from Liberty's entry-level series. Heavier body steel, a longer fire rating, and a more substantial door than the safes most buyers compare it against at the big box price point.

Liberty changed the Franklin's construction over the years it was in production. Steel gauge, fire rating, lock type, and interior layout all shifted between generations.
